The new release doesn't any more install the smixer modules when Python support is disabled. The modules weren't usable without Python support before either, so this change does not constitute a loss of functionality [1]. alsa-lib-dev has automatic dependencies on alsa-lib and libasound, but since the smixer modules were the only thing in the alsa-lib package, the alsa-lib package doesn't get generated any more. alsa-lib-dev still has an automatic dependency on alsa-lib, however, so I had to override the RDEPENDS of alsa-lib-dev to only include libasound. 2015-08-30alsa-lib: Lift the limitation to use gcc only cross compilerKhem Raj1
alsa-lib configure tries to see that if CC variabled doesnt contain 'gcc' then it tries to guess and redefine CC to be something gcc, which doesnt work with OE since we define CC to have sysroot and options attached to it. So all tests fail when configure constructs the CC for cross compiler like this. 2014-08-06alsa-lib: use get32_labels for multi-sourceWang Zidan1
The PCM route plugin can assign the destination value from average of multiple sources with attenuation. This requires the read of each channel value, sums and writes the resultant value in the requested format. get_labels gives the value as is only with endianness and signedness conversions, but put32_labels assumes that the value is normalized to 32bit int and it shifts down to the dest format. In addition, the current code lacks get_labels entries for the 24bit formats. For fixing these bugs, this patch replaces the read with get32_labels and use always 64bit int for sum. 2013-06-17alsa-lib: Change function type to "static __inline__"Jesse Zhang1
"extern __inline__ function()" is the inlined version that can be used in this compilation unit, but there will be another definition of this function somewhere, so compiler will not emit any code for the function body. This causes problem in -O0, where functions are never inlined, the function call is preserved, but linker can't find the symbol, thus the error happens. since no packages provide atomic_add and atomic_sub, and -O0 Optimize is hoped to keep for debug, we can change extern to static to fix this problem.
