2017-03-04wic: move PluginMgr class to pluginbaseEd Bartosh1
As PluginMgr class contains only one method it's better to move it to pluginbase to have all plugin related APIs in one module. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: plugin: cache results in get_pluginsEd Bartosh1
Store results of PluginMgr.get_plugins to avoid loading plugins more than once. This should speed up finding plugins. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: remove PluginMgr.get_plugin_methodsEd Bartosh1
Call methods directly instead of getting them with get_plugin_methods and then calling. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: reimplement PluginMgr.get_pluginsEd Bartosh1
Removed all private methods and complicated logic. Put all code to get plugins into get_plugins method. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: reimplement PluginMgr.get_plugin_methodsEd Bartosh1
Simplified the implementation of get_plugin_methods: - get rid of looping over the dicrtionary, used access by key instead - get rid of filling a dictionary that passed as a parameter Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: remove PluginMgr.get_source_pluginsEd Bartosh1
Used get_plugins('source') instead of get_source_plugins to unify and simplify API to get plugins. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: use PluginMgr directlyEd Bartosh1
Instead of making a singleton object of PluginMgr class it's simpler to use PluginMgr class directly as any class is a singleton. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: move WicError to lib/wic/__init__.pyEd Bartosh1
Removed unused exceptions from error.py Moved definition of WicError to lib/wic/__init__.py Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: raise WicError instead of ImageError and CreatorErrorEd Bartosh1
There is no need to raise special exceptions. Raising WicError should be enough. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: move errors moduleEd Bartosh1
Moved from lib/wic/utils/ to lib/wic as this is a core module. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-03-04wic: use wic logger in core modulesEd Bartosh1
Replaced msger with wic logger in the core wic modules. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-02-02wic: code cleanupEd Bartosh1
Fixed indentation, unused imports, trailing lines etc. [YOCTO #10619] Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2017-02-02wic: move oe/misc.py one level upEd Bartosh1
Flattened directory structure: moved wic/utils/oe/misc.py -> wic/utils/misc.py [YOCTO #10619] Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2016-05-20wic: fix path parsing, use last occurrenceGeorge McCollister1
If the path contains 'scripts' more than once the first occurrence will be incorrectly used. Use rfind instead of find to find the last occurrence. Signed-off-by: George McCollister <george.mccollister@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2016-05-14wic: use new syntax of 'except' statementEd Bartosh1
New syntax 'except Exception as err' is supported by Python >= 2.7. Old syntax 'except Exception, err' is not supported by Python 3. Used new syntax to be able to run wic on Python 3. [YOCTO #9412] Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2016-05-14wic: don't inherit classes from objectEd Bartosh1
All classes in Python3 are new style classes and don't need to be inherited from object. Wic code works fine without this inheritance even with Python2, so it's harmless to remove it. [YOCTO #9412] Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2016-05-14wic: don't use dict.keys and dict.has_keyEd Bartosh1
Replaced calls of dict.keys and dict.has_key methods with the 'key in dict' statement. 'key in dict' is more pythonic, faster and readable. dict.has_key doesn't exist in Python 3. [YOCTO #9412] Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2016-05-14wic: use items instead of iteritemsEd Bartosh1
Dictionary method 'iteritems' doesn't exist in Python 3. Replaced 'iteritems' with 'items' to be able to run the code under both Python 3 and Python 2. [YOCTO #9412] Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2015-09-02wic: fix short variable namesEd Bartosh1
Made short variable names longer and more readable. Fixed pylint warnings "Invalid variable name" and "Invalid argument name". Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2015-09-02wic: fix pylint warning unused-variableEd Bartosh1
Removed or reworked code with unused variables. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2015-09-02wic: fix pylint warning multiple-statementsEd Bartosh1
Fixed pylint warning: More than one statement on a single line (multiple-statements) Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2015-07-02wic: Remove annoing debug messageEd Bartosh1
Wic tries to find plugins in every layer and prints a message 'Plugin dir is not a directory or does not exist' if layer doesn't have plugin dir. It causes a lot of duplicated messages in the debug output, which makes it hard to find useful info there. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2015-06-23wic: code cleanup: superfluous-parensEd Bartosh1
Removed unncecessary parents after 'if' 'del' and 'print' keywords. Fixed pyling warning: Unnecessary parens after 'xxx' keyword Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com>
2015-04-24wic: code cleanup: wildcard importsEd Bartosh1
Here is what PEP8(Style Guide for Python Code) says about this: Wildcard imports (from <module> import *) should be avoided, as they make it unclear which names are present in the namespace, confusing both readers and many automated tools. Signed-off-by: Ed Bartosh <ed.bartosh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-11-12scripts: use '/usr/bin/env' in shebangs with pythonMartin Hundebøll1
To support yocto on systems with python3 as default version, scripts should use /usr/bin/env python in the shebang, as this allows the use of a fake env to mimic python2 as default version. This patch simply replaces occurrences of #!/usr/bin/python with #!/usr/bin/env python and was done with this oneliner: git grep -lE '^#!/usr/bin/python' | xargs \ sed -i 's|/usr/bin/python|/usr/bin/env python|' Signed-off-by: Martin Hundebøll <martin@hundeboll.net> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-08-11wic: Rename /mic to /wicTom Zanussi1
As well as any other stray instances of mic in the codebase that can be removed. We don't really need to carry around legacy naming, and the history is in git. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@linux.intel.com>
