2015-04-02createrepo: Implement --dbpath command line optionEd Bartosh2
--dbpath option can be used in cases where users don't want createrepo to use system rpm db to avoid possible collisiouns with other programs. For bitbake builds it would be possible to specify different databases even for every createrepo run. Considering that rootfs builds can run multiple createrepo in parallel, it can help to avoid race conditions caused by accessing or creating the same rpm database by multiple createrepo instances at the same time. 2014-06-25createrepo: RDEPENDS on libxml2-pythonRobert Yang1
Fixed the error when run createrepo on target: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/createrepo/genpkgmetadata.py", line 27, in <module> import libxml2 File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/libxml2.py", line 1, in <module> ImportError: No module named libxml2mod Signed-off-by: Robert Yang <liezhi.yang@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-01-02Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton1
A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. 2013-06-13createrepo: drop the usage of create_wrapperRoss Burton1
create_wrapper was previously abused to invoke the Python interpretter directly instead of relying on #! parsing, which is read into a 128 byte buffer so breaks with deep build directories. However now that we already install a "nativepython" binary into the native sysroot, use sed to change the #! line to /usr/bin/env nativepython. 2013-01-22createrepo-native: update dependencyKang Kai1
"RDEPENDS_${PN}_class-native" doesn't work for native recipe because no -native package will be created. Then the dependencies listed here are not built when bitbake createrepo-native. Update and use DEPENDS_class-native instead. Signed-off-by: Kang Kai <kai.kang@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-12-06createrepo: implement support for recommendsPaul Eggleton2
Adds a flag into the output metadata to note recommends relationships in a way that should not break compatibility with clients that don't understand this flag. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
2012-11-02recipes-support: replace virtclass-native(sdk) with class-native(sdk)Robert Yang1
The overrides virtclass-native and virtclass-nativesdk are deprecated, which should be replaced by class-native and class-nativesdk. NOTE: There were 2 errors in libcap.inc, the BUILD_LDFLAGS_virtclass_native should be BUILD_LDFLAGS_virtclass-native (the "_" should be "-"), otherwise it doesn't work, and the value was: "-Wl,rpath=...", this is incorrect, it shoudl be: "-Wl,-rpath=..." (lacked a - ), but we don't need this line, since it is already in the default BUILD_LDFLAGS. Remove it and we don't need to bump the PR since we just removed a unused line. 2012-08-13createrepo: add wrapper script to fix pathsPaul Eggleton1
Fixes sstate relocation due to the path to /etc/rpm being baked into the libraries - this manifested in the form of the following assertion at runtime: python: dbconfig.c:493: db3New: Assertion `dbOpts != ((void *)0) && *dbOpts != '\0'' failed. Fixes [YOCTO #2753]. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-08-01createrepo 0.4.11: create wrapper for python scriptRobert Yang1
The native python is installed to ${STAGING_BINDIR_NATIVE}/python-native/python, so we should use wrapper for the python script. [YOCTO #2822] Signed-off-by: Robert Yang <liezhi.yang@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-08-01createrepo 0.4.11: add rpm-createsolvedb.pyRobert Yang2
Move scripts/rpm-createsolvedb.py to meta/recipes-support/createrepo/createrepo/ since we should wrap it to use the native python. [YOCTO #2822] Signed-off-by: Robert Yang <liezhi.yang@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2012-07-20createrepo 0.4.11: fix the RDEPENDSRobert Yang1
The libxml2-native and rpm-native should be ready before createrepo runs since it needs "import libxml2 rpm". The target createrepo needs libxml2-python when run, but the libxml2 doesn't generate the python module (disabled). We may need to fix it or rename the recipe to createrepo-native_0.4.11.bb. This recipe is only for the rpm backend system. [YOCTO #2753] Signed-off-by: Robert Yang <liezhi.yang@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-06-12createrepo: For compatibility w/ RPM 5.4.9 remove RPMVSF_NOSIGNATURES flagMark Hatle2
The RPMVSF_NOSIGNATURES flag was removed from RPM5 - 5.4.9 as a result of additional -requires- package validation to help protect from malicious packages. The createrepo "dump" script has been updated to no longer use this flag. This remains compatible with prior versions of RPM. 2012-04-13createrepo: Python scripts should use the python interpreter from envAndrei Gherzan2
Added path to modify the hardcoded path of python interpreter from python scripts. The python interpreter should be the one from native sysroot and not the one from host machine. 2011-05-27Revert "createrepo: Update to 0.9.9"Saul Wold2
This was just the wrong update to go to, it was not fully vetted and contains yum requirements which is not a direction we are moving in. This reverts commit 7576eba58cdfebf0606623c25ae969ef52774099. Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
