2016-03-24libmad: remove use of obsolete _thumb over-rideAndre McCurdy1
The _thumb over-ride was first used by the libmad recipe in 2006 [1], but should have been removed in 2007, when the libmad recipe dropped support for building for thumb [2]. 2015-07-31libmad: use ftp instead of sourceforge for consistency with libid3tagAlexander Kanavin1
Both ftp and SF are official code sources, but ftp is less finicky for upstream version checks. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alexander.kanavin@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2014-07-16libmad: use "foreign" automake strictnessRoss Burton2
libmad doesn't want GNU-levels of automake strictness so tell it to be "foreign". Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-01-02Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton1
A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. 2013-01-15libmad: replace obsolete automake macros with working onesMarko Lindqvist2
Add obsolete_automake_macros.patch that replaces automake macros no longer supported by automake-1.13 with modern constructs. Signed-off-by: Marko Lindqvist <cazfi74@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
2012-01-24Add LICENSE_FLAGS to packages mentioned in COMMERCIAL_LICENSETom Zanussi1
Per-recipe LICENSE_FLAGS replace the global COMMERCIAL_LICENSE list; add LICENSE_FLAGS varables to each the recipes mentioned in that list: - lame - gst-fluendo-mp3 - gst-openmax - gst-plugins-ugly - libmad - libomxil - mpeg2dec - qmmp Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>

2011-07-01Drop PRIORITY variableRichard Purdie1
As discussed on the mailing list, this variable isn't useful and if wanted would be better implemented by distros using pn-X overrides. This patch executes: find . -regex ".*\.\(bb\|inc\)$" | xargs sed -i '/^PRIORITY = ".*"$/d' against the tree removing the referenced. Thanks to Phil Blundell for the command. 2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie4
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
