You should only need it if | you modified `acinclude.m4' or `configure.ac'. You might want | to install the `Automake' and `Perl' packages. Grab them from Also: | /path/to/m4-native/1.4.9-r2/m4-1.4.9/missing: line 54: automake-1.10: command not found We don't need keep a native GPLv2 recipe, so remove it. 2015-02-07m4 1.4.9: fix unknown-configure-optionRobert Yang2
Fixed: WARNING: QA Issue: m4: configure was passed unrecognised options: --without-libsigsegv-prefix [unknown-configure-option] The m4 1.4.9 doesn't support --without-libsigsegv-prefix, so move it from m4.inc to m4-1.4.17.inc. Signed-off-by: Robert Yang <liezhi.yang@windriver.com>
2014-12-27m4: Disable searching for libsigsegvHolger Hans Peter Freyther1
When building GNU Smalltalk libsigsegv will be available and m4 will start to use it. This leads to the below warning: WARNING: QA Issue: m4 rdepends on libsigsegv, but it isn't a build dependency? [build-deps] Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-05-01Add texinfo.bbclass; recipes that use texinfo utils at build-time inherit it.Max Eliaser1
The class itself currently does nothing. The idea is to mark all recipes that make use of the texinfo utilities. In the future, this class could be used to suppress the generation/formatting of documentation for performance, explicitly track dependencies on these utilities, and eliminate Yocto's current dependency on the host system's texinfo utilities. 2012-07-17gettext,m4,augeas,gnutls: Account for removal of gets in eglibc 2.16Khem Raj2
These recipes use gnulib which needs this change to use gets when its defined and not otherwise. Until that change goes into gnulib and then all these package upgrade gnulib in their sourcebase we patch them Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-05-01gettext,m4: Add -lrt to LDFLAGS for uclibcKhem Raj3
uclibc has recently got posix_spawn implementation and the implementation resided in librt so we link -lrt to get the configure tests using uclibc provided definitions and not the gnu-lib wrappers Let libintl.a live in -staticdev package Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>

2012-01-17m4: refactor .bb and .inc filesSaul Wold3
The orignal had common code in the m4_1.4.16.bb file that was in the m4.inc file. m4-native was then including the m4.bb file and picking up the BBCLASSEXTEND, which causes the fetch to fail. Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>

2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie4
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
