2013-02-01gcc: enable multilib for target gccConstantin Musca1
- add a task to setup multilib configuration for target gcc - this commit adapts Nitin Kamble's work to gcc 4.7 - use a hash for storing arch-dependent multilib options - patch gcc in order to use the multilib config files from the build directory Tests: root@qemux86-64:~# gcc -m64 t.c -o t root@qemux86-64:~# file t t: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.16, not stripped root@qemux86-64:~# ./t Hello World ! root@qemux86-64:~# gcc -m32 t.c -o t root@qemux86-64:~# file t t: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.16, not stripped root@qemux86-64:~# ./t Hello World ! 2012-08-01gcc-configure-target: Set native-system-header-dir for target gccRichard Purdie1
Without this set, in the case host=target (which it does for on-target gcc), the native header directory is set to the target sysroot with no prefix. This means it would look for sdt.h on the build system instead of in the target headers and this can lead to build failures and is host contamination of the build. The correct fix is to explicitly set the native header directory to the correct location and then the headers get detected correctly. 2012-06-13gcc-configure-common: Use build time sysroot for target gccKhem Raj1
Otherwise it assumes / as sysroot on build host and starts searching for directories in there. [RP: Tweak to add missing = for consistent syntax] Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2012-04-26gcc-configure: Render --with-local-prefix harmlessKhem Raj1
this option by default points to /usr/local no matter what so we cant let it sit on sidelines otherwise it will access host machine's /usr/local which may not be desired. So disable this option. This also helps in making gcc's shared state more consistent Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>

2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie1
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
