2015-09-12meta: Fix Upstream-Status statementsRoss Burton1
Fix a variety of problems such as typos, bad punctuations, or incorrect Upstream-Status values. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2015-05-21zlib: clean up base_libdir symlinkRoss Burton1
libz.so symbolic link created in ${libdir} is ../../${base_libdir}/libz.so.1.2.8. This doesn't work if base_libdir or libdir is changed, so use oe.path.relative to construct the correct path at build time. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>
2014-09-22zlib: obey LDFLAGS for testsChristopher Larson2

2013-11-27zlib: Add ptestTudor Florea3
Install zlib tests and run them as ptest Signed-off-by: Tudor Florea <tudor.florea@enea.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-10-30recipes: Remove PR = r0 from all recipesRichard Purdie1
Remove all PR = "r0" from all .bb files in oe-core. This was done with the command sed -e '/^PR.*=.*r0\"/d' recipes*/*/*.bb -i We've switching to the PR server, PR bumps are no longer needed and this saves people either accidentally bumping them or forgetting to remove the lines (r0 is the default anyway). 2013-05-21zlib: put shared libraries in base_libdirJoe Slater1
We put the shared libraries in base_libdir because at least one library under base_libdir, pam_cracklib.so, needs them and will cause a qa warning when it is built. 2012-05-09zlib: upgrade to 1.2.7Eric Bénard2
1.2.6 is no more fetchable and 1.2.7 fix some bugs, full changelog is available here : http://zlib.net/ChangeLog.txt Signed-off-by: Eric Bénard <eric@eukrea.com>
2012-02-21zlib: remove ldconfig call from install-libsMartin Jansa2
* it's called from install-libs target and when /etc/ld.so.cache is writeable by user running bitbake then it creates invalid cache (in my case libstdc++.so cannot be found after building zlib(-native) and I have to call touch */libstdc++.so && /sbin/ldconfig to fix it Signed-off-by: Martin Jansa <Martin.Jansa@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-02-10zlib: Upgrade 1.2.5 -> 1.2.6Khem Raj5
Dont use autotools, it really not so autoconf like. the configure script gets updated with every release of zlib and we overwrite that. Instead use the upstream provided configure copyright year was changed in zlib.h which caused change in LIC_FILE_CHECKSUM fix.inverted.LFS.logic.patch is already applied upstream so drop it Drop the configure.ac and Makefile.am scripts since we do not autoreconf anymore and do not inherit autotools anymore Bump PR for depending recipes so a rebuild it ensues so that they dont depend on .la anymore and add missing dependencies discovered during incremental build Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>
2011-12-01zlib 1.2.5: install pkgconfig file, needed for e.g. modern webkitKoen Kooi1
Upstream has grown cmake support which would allow us to dump the OE autotools hack, but the cmakefile doesn't install the .pc file either and breaks with zlib-native Signed-off-by: Koen Kooi <koen@dominion.thruhere.net> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2011-10-10zlib: fix inverted LFS logicMartin Jansa2

2011-07-01Drop PRIORITY variableRichard Purdie1
As discussed on the mailing list, this variable isn't useful and if wanted would be better implemented by distros using pn-X overrides. This patch executes: find . -regex ".*\.\(bb\|inc\)$" | xargs sed -i '/^PRIORITY = ".*"$/d' against the tree removing the referenced. Thanks to Phil Blundell for the command. 2011-05-27License Field Cleanup: Non-standard field namesBeth Flanagan1
I've cleaned up some odd license fields, fixed some license names and corrected some incorrect licenses. LICENSE really needs a pass through by the maintainers as some of the licensing is incorrect. Also, every license with Artistic should be gone through and noted as which version of Artistic. Signed-off-by: Beth Flanagan <elizabeth.flanagan@intel.com>

2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie3
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
