If we do, the tasks may not run and hence gcc may not get patched for example which results in failures. This patch simple removes the flags since they're unneeded. The MLPREFIX variable is added and can be used in cases where its too difficult to dynmaically work out where a mutltilib prefix is needed to be added to a variable.
